About Good News Travelin' Band
Brian and Donna have been married for more than 30 years. Both of them grew up in homes with professional local country musicians. Brian spent 34 years playing drums with his father before feeling God's call to begin doing only gospel music. His father, Sonny Miller was an accomplished fiddle player, having appeared on WWVA, in Wheeling, WV., before starting his own group. Sonny Miller and the Happy Valley Boys entertained crowds for 51 years. They were well known and loved by carnival goers throughout the state of Pa, sharing the stage with many named artists, including Loretta Lynn and Reba McEntie. Brian's brother, who also began his career with his dad now plays guitar in Branson, Mo. Brian put aside his drum sticks and picked up the rhythm guitar and plays it with the band.When our schedule allows, he is still able to play drums in the praise team at church. Donna's father played steel guitar with his own group, The County Rainbows, hailing from the Allentown area, until he suffered a stroke which ended his musical career. Donna began singing in church prior to singing with the group. The couple have 2 daughters and two grandsons.
Combining years of musical experience, the group has our own style of praise and worship music. Gene has been married for over 30 years and he and Sharon have three lovely daughters and one granddaughter. Gene has been member of church praise teams for many years, playing the bass guitar. Making the switch to lead guitar was hard work, but Gene was able to do it because of his love for and knowledge of the songs we play. Dave is also married, for 30 years and he and Nancy have one daughter. Dave has been playing the bass professionally since 1970, with several groups, including his own. He enjoys collecting, trading and performing with a variety of electric and acoustic bass guitars.

We are a group of musicians and vocalists with strong roots in country and gospel music. All of the music we do is live, without added accompaniment. Our repertoire is rich with hymns of days gone by, updated by our unique sounds. We also feature more contemporary country and gospel sounds and in addition to that, we do our own original songs. We have been serving the Lord with our music ministry since 2005.
